Is it possible to link from the Beatles to any other band or artist in the world in only five steps? There is only one way to find out. This one links from the Beatles to Billie Piper in five simple steps.

1. Beatles – I Am The Warlus

Taken from the 1967 movie and subsequent EP, I Am The Walrus is one of the stand out tracks on the Magical Mystery Tour. It was later covered by Oasis.

2. Oasis – I Am The Walrus

Shock, horror! Oasis do the Beatles! This song was often performed live by Oasis, a version of which is available on their album The Masterplan. It was never released as a single. One song that was a single for Oasis was the January 1998 number one hit All Around The World, which was ‘ripped’ off somewhat by the next song.

3. Hearsay – Pure And Simple

Popstars winners Hearsay scored a number one hit with this debut song in March 2001. Despite its success it did have its critics as it sounds so much like a mash up between the Oasis song All Around The World and All Saints song Never Ever.

4. Kym Marsh – Cry

Kym Marsh, before turning her hand to being an actress in Coronation Street, released the solo album Standing Tall after the demise of Hearsay. This was the first release of it and it hit number 2 in the UK charts in April 2003. Also on that album was a song called Because Of You, which shares its name with the following song.

5. Billie Piper – Because Of You

Long before becoming the Doctor’s companion, Billie Piper had a music career! This song featured on her second album Walk Of Life, which was released in 2000.
