What better way to get started in the morning than to listen to songs that have morning in the title. Here are ten songs with morning in the title.

1. Yardbirds – Good Morning Little Schoolgirl

This is a standard song that has been covered by a plethora of artists over the years. The Yardbirds were the only ones to take it in to the UK charts. It was their debut release in late 1964 and it climbed to a peak of number 44 in the UK charts.

2. Oasis – Sunday Morning Call

The Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants was an Oasis album that, it’s fair to say, wasn’t one of their best. Nevertheless, Sunday Morning Call was one of the stand out songs on the album. It was also released as a single and hit a peak of number 4 in the UK charts in July 2000.

3. Beatles – Good Morning Good Morning

Two good mornings for the price of one in the title of this classic Beatles track from their Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album.

4. Cat Stevens – Morning Has Broken

This was one of 5 top 10 hits that Cat Stevens enjoyed in the UK charts. Released in early 1972 it hit a peak of number 9 in the charts.

5. Supernaturals – Monday Mornings

This is a slower version than the album version, but it is the only version on YouTube at the moment! The song features on the Supernaturals second album Tune A Day.

6. Razorlight – In The Morning

A big hit for Razorlight in the UK, In The Morning hit a peak of number 3 in the summer of 2006. Their follow up single in the UK was America which went all the way to the number one spot later that year.

7. Buddy Holly – Early In The Morning

Taking you all the way back to 1958 for this one. It was the 4th chart hit for Buddy Holly in the UK and reached a peak of number 17 in August 1958.

8. Primal Scream – Some Velvet Morning

It always seemed to me that Primal Scream couldn’t quite make their mind up whether they were a rock band or a dance band, so they settled on being somewhere in the middle. This one tends to the ‘dance’ side of things. Released as a single in November 2003 it reached number 44 in the UK charts.

9. Seekers – Morningtown Ride

The Seekers chart career neatly spanned from January 1965 until December 1967, during which time they scored 9 UK chart hits, 5 of which went top 3. Morningtown Ride was released in November 1966 and hit a peak of number 2 in the UK charts.

10. Val Doonican – Morning

This was the second last UK chart hit that Irish singer Val Doonican enjoyed in the UK charts. Released in late 1971 it climbed to a peak of number 12.

Hope you have enjoyed this list of 10 songs with morning in the title. There are plenty more songs out there that also have morning in the title, perhaps you can suggest some in the comments section.
